NextRadio App

NextRadio is an Android app that combines local FM radio via your device's built-in tuner with enhanced content via the Internet to show you album art, station logos, and song & program details in an engaging display. Hear a song you like? Buy it instantly as you listen, or save to your history so you can go back for the info later.

 

FM radio is an over the air broadcast signal in your local area. It is limited in range, but usually sounds better than streaming audio due to data compression. NextRadio delivers images and interactive content in sync with FM radio broadcasts and uses less than 20% of the data used by Internet streaming radio. Your battery will last a lot longer, too. 

 

NextRadio comes preinstalled on a growing number of Android devices. If you have a compatible device that does not already have NextRadio installed, you can download it for free from the Google Play store.

 

NextRadio delivers images and interactive content in sync with FM radio broadcasts and uses less than 20% of the data used by streaming radio. If you find that the data cost is still too much, you can switch to Tuner Only Mode by tapping the NextRadio logo at the top of the app and selecting Settings > Interface > Switch to Tuner Only Mode. You can switch back to receive images by tapping the “Enhanced Mode” blue button at the bottom of the Tuner Only interface.
