The Salvation Army of Greater Toledo to Open Christmas Assistance Registration Oct. 6

To prepare for the Christmas season, The Salvation Army of Greater Toledo is about to launch applications for Christmas assistance for families in need. Toys will be provided for children up to the age of 12, and food assistance for ages 13 through 18. The Salvation Army and Marines Toys for Tots will be registering Lucas County residents in person at the following dates and times:

  • October 6th - 9th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.to 3 p.m.
  • October 13th - 16th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.to 3 p.m.

in-person registration will be at The Salvation Army, 620 North Erie Street, Toledo. The following documents are required:

  • A government issued photo I.D.
  • A birth certificate for each child 12 years and younger in their household.  A printout from JFS will be accepted. Guardian      papers, if applicable.
  • Proof of all other household members.
  • Proof of Address.
