Student Asks Governor for School Delay

The IU Hoosiers have had an extraordinary football season this year. After last week’s win in the Peach Bowl, the anticipation for the team has grown to incredible heights. One 9-year old Hoosier has asked the Governor for a 2-hour school delay the day after the big game.  Jack Gibson sent a letter to Gov. Mike Braun who reacted by saying that he did not have the power to delay schools. A school district in southern Indiana has announced it will indeed delay school on Tuesday, January 20th…but schools in Northeast have NOT made that announcement.  IU will play against the Miami Hurricanes on January 19th for the National College Football championship.
