Statewide Seasonal Open Burning Ban in Effect in Ohio

Ohio’s seasonal outdoor open burning ban is in effect. Under Ohio law, opening burning is prohibited in rural areas statewide during the months of March, April, May, October, and November between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Officials say warm, windy weather and dry conditions in the spring and fall increase the risk of wildfires.
