SACS to Make Playgrounds Accessible

Southwest Allen County Schools is expected to take an initial step toward replacing old playground equipment at three campuses with new, accessible equipment. The school board is expected to vote Oct. 20 on a recommendation to continue the district's relationship with Context Design for the upgrades at Deer Ridge, Lafayette Meadows and Whispering Meadows elementary schools.  The playground upgrades are part of an $85 million borrowing plan the board advanced last year to accomplish various projects.
