Report Shows Indiana Hospital Prices Dropped in 2024

Indiana’s hospital prices dropped by nearly 7 percentage points in 2024 compared to the year before. That’s according to a 2025 analysis issued by the Indiana Department of Insurance and conducted by Milliman. The study evaluates hospital commercial prices and compares them to a benchmark of 285% of Medicare. Indiana’s five nonprofit hospital systems averaged 252% in 2024, including Parkview Health and IU Health.
