Proposed Quarry in Allen County, IN Voted Down

The proposed quarry in southwest Allen County, Indiana has been rejected after the Board of Zoning Appeals denied the project’s rezoning request last night. The developers also withdrew their additional proposals from the Plan Commission after the vote. More than 1,000 people attended the meeting at the Memorial Coliseum and were almost universally opposed to the project.
