Pedestrian Dead After Crash, Pursuit in Fort Wayne Thursday Morning

A pedestrian is dead after an early morning crash and pursuit on Thursday along Spy Run Avenue near 4th Street. The Fort Wayne Police Department said an officer was attempting to stop a fleeing vehicle, which struck a pedestrian and side-swiped another vehicle. The driver eventually fled on foot but was later found. The crash and subsequent investigation caused Spy Run Avenue to be closed for several hours on Thursday.
