Ohio Sees Record Early Voting Turnout in 2026 Midterms

Ohio had a record turnout in early voting for the midterm election. According to Secretary of State Frank LaRose, more than 1.7 million voters cast their ballot early before Ohio’s early voting ended on Sunday. That breaks the previous midterm election record of 1.4 million ballots in the 2022 election. This year, Ohio’s most closely watched races are the gubernatorial and U.S. Senate elections.
