Ohio Proposed Constitutional Amendment to Ban Data Center Construction Clears Next Step Toward Ballot

A proposed amendment to Ohio’s constitution to prohibit the construction of new large data centers cleared the last step before signatures can start being collected. The Ohio Ballot Board recently approved the new data center ban proposal from the group Ohio Residents for Responsible Development. The proposal will require at least 413,000 signatures from 44 of Ohio’s counties in order to be on the November ballot.
