Ohio Lawmakers Propose Statewide E-bike Regulations

Lawmakers in Ohio are proposing legislation that would implement statewide regulations for e-bikes. Under the measure, helmets would be required on e-bikes along with age restrictions for operating them and renting them. Another provision of the legislation would require a one-time $25 registration fee for e-bikes and education for riders. The bill was introduced in the Senate and a similar one will be introduced in the House.
