Ohio Gas Tax Holiday Legislation Passed by House and Senate, Goes to Gov. DeWine10/01/2026Legislation in Ohio that temporarily suspends gas taxes has been passed by both the House and Senate with bipartisan support. Under the legislation, Ohio’s gas taxes would be lifted for 90 days, which would save you roughly 39 cents per gallon for gasoline and 47 cents per gallon for diesel. It now goes to Governor Mike DeWine for his approval. If signed, the law would take effect immediately since it was passed with an emergency clause.
