Nuclear Company Announces Headquarters, Energy Park in Indiana, Potential for 5,000 Jobs11/05/2025A nuclear energy startup company called First American Nuclear announced plans to establish Indiana as the location of its headquarters, manufacturing sites, and an energy park. Governor Mike Braun said it’s expected to bring 5,000 high-paying jobs to the state. First American Nuclear, also called FANCO, said the energy park will be the first to operate in a “closed-fuel cycle” in U.S. history. That means it’ll reprocess and reuse spent nuclear fuel on-site, eliminating 97% of long-lasting nuclear waste. Click here to read FANCO's full announcement.
