Monroe Street Bridge at U.S. 23 in Sylvania to Close for 150 Days

Heads up in Sylvania, Ohio – the Monroe Street bridge at the U.S. 23 interchange will be closing for about 150 days of construction starting this Sunday. The construction includes the following closures and lane restrictions:

  • Westbound to northbound on-ramp to northbound US 23 will permanently close Friday, March 6 at 9 p.m.
  • US 23 will have lane restrictions Friday, March 6 through Sunday, March 8 for traffic adjustments.
  • Acres Roadwill stay open between Alexis Road and Monroe Street.
  • Northbound on- and off-ramps to and from US 23 will stay open.
  • Southbound on- and off-ramps to and from US 23 will stay open.

Monroe Street will be closed between Acres Road and Glasgow Road, over US 23, beginning Sunday, March 8 at 9 p.m. for 150 days. Acres Road, between Alexis Road and Monroe Street will remain open. The northbound loop ramp to US 23 will remain open, along with northbound US 23 exit ramp to Monroe Street (Exit 234). Southbound ramps, entering and exiting US 23, will remain open for the duration of the 150 days, except for brief tie in periods. The existing westbound-to-northbound on-ramp to northbound US 23 will close permanently Friday, March 6 at 9 p.m.
