Lima to Get New Outdoor Education Space01/15/2026A proposed outdoor learning space in Lima could soon help Liberty Arts Magnet students engage more with nature. Instructor Joanna Walt introduced a new upcoming program called the Liberty Outdoor Education Space during Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith’s weekly press conference Wednesday. The location will be approximately 3,750 square feet on the north end of the West Kibby Street campus, and students will have a chance at learning while bonding with nature. The space will include gardens, an artwork area and a shelter house. There are also plans for a music/chime wall, STEAM wall and rock wall. The space will be intended for Liberty students as well as neighborhood families.
