Legislation to Make the Pork Tenderloin Sandwich Indiana's Official State Sandwich Bill Advances

There’s a chance the breaded pork tenderloin sandwich could become Indiana’s official state sandwich. The proposed legislation is moving forward after passing out of a senate committee yesterday. Outgoing State Senator Andy Zay, who authored the bill and has resigned to take over as chair of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, emphasized the sandwich as an Indiana tradition as well as its impact on the state’s agriculture and pork industries.
