Indiana BMV Warns of New Text Message Scam03/17/2026Beware of a new text message scam that impersonates the Indiana BMV. The text message scam uses links that closely mimic a State of Indiana web address that goes to a site that deceptively copies the BMV website. The site will even create fake BMV receipts and confirmation numbers. The BMV reminds you that it’ll never ask you to pay any fees through a text message and you should delete the message right away.
