Holtec Delaying Restart of Palisades Nuclear Plant in Michigan to Early 202612/22/2025Restarting the Palisades nuclear power plant in western Michigan on the shore of Lake Michigan has been pushed back from this year to early 2026. Holtec International said the process is being delayed because government regulators need more time to ensure the plant meets standards. Holtec also said restarting the plant remains on track and under budget. The Palisades nuclear plant would be the first nuclear plant ever to restart, if successful.
