FW City Council Makes Cuts to 2027 Budget

Fort Wayne City Council made $11.6 million in cuts last night to the city’s 2027 budget out of more than $19 million in proposed cuts. The biggest cut was $4 million toward the North River development while other cuts included the Hanna Homestead Park Project and the Portland Loo downtown restroom. The cuts make up ground for a $10 million deficit in the city’s original proposed budget. City Council will consider the budget’s final passage next week.
