Carmel to Demolish Hazel Dell Parkway Bridge Soon

Crews in Carmel will begin demolishing the Hazel Dell Parkway bridge just south of 106th Street next week after it was destroyed during August’s historic flooding. Local officials said equipment will start moving to the site Friday with demolition scheduled to start on Monday, Sept. 28th. Demolition is expected to be completed by October 30th. Crews also plan to restore slopes along the banks to make the area more stable and safer.
