Carmel Set to Make Infrastructure Improvements10/13/2026The City of Carmel and Carmel Utilities are announcing upcoming infrastructure improvements in the Merchants Square area aimed at modernizing local water and sanitary sewer networks. The project will replace aging infrastructure, strengthen utility reliability and accommodate future growth in one of Carmel's key commercial hubs. Construction is scheduled to begin at the end of October and continue in rolling phases through summer of 2027. Work will be carried out in 13 total phases to maintain traffic flow and limit disruption to the community.
