AUDIO: FWCS' Study Connection Tutoring Program Seeing Positive Changes, Looking for Volunteer Tutors01/08/2026Helping Fort Wayne Community Schools students with academic enrichment and literacy is what the district’s Study Connection tutoring program is all about. The program has 29 community partners that are matched one-to-one for one hour per week with students in need of extra academic assistance. FWCS Community Programs Manager Helen Tobo says there have been positive results among students. Tobo says Study Connections’ specific needs right now are trying to get as many second and third graders as possible to read at reading level, and there are seven schools without programming.
