Allen County Hires Consultant06/02/2026Allen County, Indiana government officials hope to have a clearer idea of how property tax cuts might affect their budgets over the next several years. The Allen County commissioners have approved $50,000 for property tax analysis from consulting firm Baker Tilly. Every Allen County taxing unit will receive a report that shows how the changes will affect what they receive each year. That includes cities, towns, townships and schools. Local government leaders across Indiana are uncertain how they will be able fund their needs since Senate Enrolled Act 1 will gradually reduce property taxes yearly thru 2031.
