Allen Co. Council Approves 2027 Budget for New Countywide Fire District

The Allen County, Indiana Council unanimously approved the 2027 budget for the new countywide Allen County Fire and EMS District. The new district will start on January 1st. It’ll merge the Northwest, Northeast, West Central, East Central, and Southwest fire districts along with areas in southeastern Allen County. The 2027 budget will now be considered by the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance, which will also decide whether to approve an excess levy appeal.
