2025 Good Year for Building in Allen County

Another good year for construction in Allen County.   Officials say they issued more than $3.8 billion in building permits last year. The building permits estimate the value of a construction job at the time of application, including construction costs, painting, flooring and finishes. The total bested 2024's mark by nearly $172 million. This is the second year in a row that the department exceeded $3 billion.  Building Commissioner Joe Hutter said he expects this year's value to continue the two-year trend.
