175 Show Up at Fort Wayne City Council Meeting06/03/2026More than 175 people concerned about the proposed low barrier homeless resource center attended the Fort Wayne City Council meeting last night. While the agenda did not include the topic more than 70 people spoke out against the project during the public comment portion of the meeting. Most of those who spoke agreed that this type of facility is needed but were concerned about its proximity to a school downtown that is less than 600 feet from the proposed site. The city council is scheduled to vote next week on the proposed facility.
