Meet Kim Tell us a little about yourself/your family: I grew up in the Southwest (Santa Fe, N.M.) and went to school in Texas. This fun career has taken me all over to fun places that include Nashville, TN, South Dakota, Door County, Wisconsin, and Iowa. One of the greatest gifts God has given me is being a mom to three wonderful humans and being a “Mimi” to my precious granddaughter.What do you like most about being with WBCL radio? You! (the listener and friend) Thank you for choosing to hang out and allow us to be a part of your world.What do you do for fun? I love to bake! I grab the cookie dough out of the fridge and bake up a few dozen and then picture Paul Hollywood of Netflix’ Great British Bake Show telling me they are the best and then shaking my hand……because he gives a hand shake to the bakers who do a great job…..never mind. Ha.. What do you consider the ultimate comfort food? For me it’s Chips and Salsa! Home-made salsa is the best, but for something quick, I am a fan of Trader Joe’s salsa with pineapple. (…and yes, I am the girl that loves pineapple on my pizza. ) What Bible verse is resonating with you right now? Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” After a year and half of all the crazy we’ve lived through, God is still excited about the plans He has for us. I know I need that great reminder of his care and love. What other career paths did you consider? Oh wow! Well…. when I was a little girl the answer to this question changed weekly. My dad would take me to the Circus, and I would think my life’s calling was flying trapeze, or I would get to fly in an airplane and think I would be an “airline stewardess.” As a teen, I would use my hairbrush or curling iron and think I would like to be the next Amy Grant, but we all know there is only one Amy Grant. I did go to college and get my degree in Psychology thinking I would be a counselor, but God had other plans. I’ve loved being in radio these past 29 years!
