Meet CJ Tell us a little about yourself/your family: I’m originally from Lagrange, Indiana. My wife and I moved to Garrett in 2022. We have one child, our daughter, and she was born earlier in 2023. I graduated from Purdue University Fort Wayne in 2019 where I studied journalism. What do you like most about being with WBCL radio? There are really two things I like most about being with WBCL. First would be our dedicated listeners. It’s so much fun meeting everybody out at events! Second would be our incredible staff members. We truly have the best of the best here and it helps create an amazing work environment. What's your go-to dish when you have to make dinner? You can bet that it’ll be breakfast for dinner! Eggs are fun and easy to make in all sorts of forms. I like having them either simply fried or in an omelet. On the side, either waffles with real maple syrup or cinnamon raisin bread are a must. What Bible verse is resonating with you right now? “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” -Revelation 21:4 This verse has always resonated with me because it’s a powerful reminder that anything we struggle with in this life is only temporary. We have a hope and promise of Heaven that lies ahead. What other career paths did you consider? I wanted to be a meteorologist when I was younger. I had many weather books that were my favorite to read. The different scales that storms were rated by, types of clouds and precipitation, and variations in climate were what I was most fascinated with. Weather phenomena are so interesting!
