Thanksgiving Dinner to Cost Less

Cooking Thanksgiving dinner could cost less than last year. The American Farm Bureau Federation’s 40th annual Thanksgiving dinner survey says the average cost of foods that make up a classic holiday feast for 10 is $55.18 – a slight decrease from last year. Half of the ingredients, like turkey, dinner rolls, and stuffing dropped in price while fresh vegetables and sweet potatoes increased. Meanwhile, the Farm Bureau’s expanded price survey that includes boneless ham, russet potatoes, and frozen green beans would increase the Thanksgiving meal cost to $77.09.
