SWAC Set to Build Career and Technical Center

Southwest Allen County Schools is planning to build a $35.5 million career and technical education center.  The bond-funded facility is planned for a site directly west of Covington Elementary School. It will house about a dozen programs - including cosmetology, early learning and welding - and will offer the flexibility for future programming needs.  The groundbreaking ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. Oct. 27.  It is scheduled to open in fall 2028.
