Recent Study Shows Higher Demand for New Housing in Two Areas of Fort Wayne

A recent housing market study shows strong demand for new housing in downtown Fort Wayne. The study was prepared by Zimmerman/Volk Associates and focuses primarily on downtown and Fort Wayne’s East Central Neighborhood. A few of the key findings show who’s moving to downtown, the number of new apartments downtown could absorb, and how many housing options East Central could absorb. In response, Mayor Sharon Tucker said the numbers are good news for the city, adding that it could help attract more private investment to the community.
