Ohio Minimum Wage to Increase 3.5% on Jan. 1, 2027

Ohio’s minimum wage will be going up by 3.5% next year. The state’s Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration said minimum wages will be $11.40 per hour for non-tipped employees and $5.70 per hour for tipped employees starting January 1, 2027. The change follows requirements outlined in an amendment of Ohio’s Constitution that says the state minimum wage shall increase on January 1st each year by the rate of inflation.
