Ohio Gov. DeWine Signs Executive Order to Fund SNAP

With the upcoming pause in food assistance tomorrow, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has signed an executive order to fund SNAP in the state. The order will provide up to $25 million for food assistance to help families that’ll be affected if the government shutdown continues. DeWine’s order also directs the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services to give $7 million to various Ohio food banks and up to $18 million in emergency relief benefits for those at or below 50% of the federal poverty level.
