MDOT Starting Major Interstate 75 Construction in Monroe

MDOT is kicking off a project March 13th to rebuild 3.2 miles of Interstate 75 from Otter Creek Road to Laplaisance Road. The project includes closing multiple lanes of I-75 in Monroe, moving traffic to the other side of the highway during the 2026 construction season, and rebuilding five bridges. The two-year investment will temporarily wrap up in November 2026 with an overall completion date of November 2027.
