I&M Warns of Utility Scams

Indiana Michigan Power wants you to beware of utility scams by phone, text, and door-to-door. I&M says it’s received more than 75 scam reports as of last month, which often attempt to trick customers into paying “unpaid bills” to avoid disconnection. I&M reminds you that it’ll provide multiple notices before service interruption and never ask for unusual payment methods or personal or financial information.
