Huntington Electric Storage Project02/27/2026Huntington will soon be the home of a South Korea-based maker of energy storage systems. Hanjung America Corporation plans to invest $100 million to open a facility there and create more than 300 high-wage jobs. Mayor Richard Strick says that Hanjung's technology makes energy storage safer and more effective which helps lower energy costs for consumers. The technology helps cool large batteries so they don't overheat.
