Here are the election results for a few top races in Ohio and Allen County, Indiana:

  • In the Toledo mayoral race, Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz holds onto his seat, becoming the first Toledo mayor to serve three consecutive terms.
  • For Toledo City Council At Large, incumbent councilmembers Cerssandra McPherson, Brittany Jones, Nick Komives, George Sarantou, and Mac Driscoll were reelected. Newcomer Erin Kramer will fill the sixth at large seat.
  • In Allen County, Indiana, the Northwest Allen County Schools operating referendum to fund a variety of initiatives by raising property taxes within the district did not pass. In response, NACS Superintendent Wayne Barker said, “While we are disappointed by the outcome, we respect the decision of our voters.” Barker also noted that the district will review next steps in the weeks ahead.
  • Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith ran unopposed.
