Eagle Scout Project Brings Drowning Prevention Equipment to Perrysburg11/07/2025An Eagle Scout project in Perrysburg, Ohio has added five “life ring” drowning mitigation stations across the city. 17-year-old Perrysburg resident Robert Courtney – who’s a member of Boy Scout Troop 167 at St. Rose Church – said his project idea came from his love of the water and a concern for how people could be rescued quickly in case of an emergency. The stations are located at various parks and ponds in Perrysburg and include a life ring and rope and instructional signage on emergency use, and CPR procedures will be added soon.
