Cory Asbury Halting Plans for Alternative Faith-Based Super Bowl Halftime Show

A little over one month after Cory Asbury proposed an alternative faith-based Super Bowl halftime show, he announced that the plans will not be moving forward for now. Even though it started as a dream to lift up the name of Jesus, Asbury said the proposed halftime show began to devolve into something else distracting. He added that it was never about rivalry, politics, parties, or proving a point. Asbury also said he and Forrest Frank called Turning Point USA’s team, who’s also planning an alternative show, and said the two visions are incompatible.
