Lynne Ford’s first radio job was as a receptionist/secretary for an AM Christian station—where she was promptly fired after just one week. The station’s owners, missing the fun quotient she brought to the office, quickly rehired her, taught her the basics of on-air work, and made her the station’s new manager. Four years later, Lynne was hired by the WBCL Radio Network to produce its popular Mid-Morning
program and act as one of its hosts.
As an interviewer Lynne is known for her keen mind and wit. Guests appreciate her thorough preparation and insightful questions. Listeners appreciate her ease in handling every topic and her ability to ask the questions they want answered.
A graduate of Taylor University with a degree in professional writing, Lynne speaks at women’s events about the One Thing for every Christ-follower: knowing God. An encounter with God while viewing Michelangelo’s David in Florence, Italy, has given Lynne a holy obsession with Ephesians 2:10 (we are God’s masterpieces) and a message she relishes sharing.
Lynne met her husband Doug in high school. One disastrous date has led to thirty-four years of marriage, one adult son, J.R.; a stunningly beautiful (inside & out) daughter-in-law, Jeni; and a loving and lovable grandson, Elijah. She spends her free time reading, learning all she can about Michelangelo, and transforming the Ford home into a haven.
