Listener Stories Encourage others by sharing your story here. So glad to be back Krista When I was a young child, my mom always had WBCL on our kitchen radio. My favorite dj was Jeff Carlson. I grew up, married, and moved out of the area. Recently, my minister husband was appointed to a church here in Edon, Ohio, How wonderful it has been to listen to the station again. My kids, ages 9 and 6, only listen to WBCL. It is nice to know they can hear good music with none of the things this mom does not want them to hear. Keep up the good work, WBCL!Peace in times of Need! Ricky Nearly every day, Monday thru Friday, I listen to WBCL from the online stream. My place of employment blocks various types of internet content such as streaming, games, media... I continuously searched and WBCL, by the glory of God, was one of the few contemporary Christian radio stations that would stream through our network. I have found that surrounding myself with God is the best way to keep my relationship strong in the Lord, and WBCL is just one of many ways that I am able to do that while on the job. Listening to the music and radio hosts brings such peace to me while I am working, and knowing that God has his loving arms around me is so wonderful! We serve an Awesome God, and I am happy to know that through his Grace and Son Jesus, I am saved!He Still Does Miracles Natalie I have always listened to WBCL off and on, but I never realized it’s crucial role in my life until my life was absolutely falling apart. One blustery November Sunday, out of the blue, my husband of 7 years sat me down and admitted that he struggled with same sex attraction. The next three months of my life played out like a bad movie. He began an affair that I was sure was going to separate my family permanently. During long stretches of time when he was away I would cling to the hope broadcasted on WBCL. Hawk Nelson’s “He still does miracles” became my anthem. And like our amazing God can only do. He did a miracle. He saved my husband from the throes of the devil and is continuing to lead us as we repair our marriage. Thank you WBCL for always being there in my absolute darkest times.
