WSJ: Bible Sales Are Up Significantly12/04/2024The number of Bibles sold in the U.S. has grown significantly. The Wall Street Journal reports that Bible sales have risen 22% this year whereas total print book sales have increased less than 1% in the same period. Publishers have attributed the jump in Bible sales to concerns about the economy, global conflicts, political uncertainty, and a search for hope. Bible sales have been primarily driven by first-time buyers and younger people, including from Generation Z.
