Work on Marblehead Peninsula Trail to Proceed with $1.48 Million Grant

The first phase of the Marblehead Peninsula Trail is now moving forward after the Park District of Ottawa County secured nearly $1.5 million in grant funding. Phase 1 of the project includes the Alexander Pike segment, a new trailhead on East Bayshore Road and about 1.5 miles of separated, multi-use trails. The trails will connect to Lakeside Daisy State Nature Preserve, which is home of the only known natural population of the rare Lakeside Daisy in the U.S.
