Wood County to Begin Door-to-Door Dog License Checks in June05/30/2025If you live in Wood County, Ohio, the county’s dog shelter will begin conducting door-to-door dog licensing checks in June. The Wood County Dog Shelter said the goal is to identify unlicensed dogs while informing residents about Ohio dog license and registration laws. The effort runs through November and will begin in the northern part of the county. Under Ohio law, dog owners must register and license any dog over three months old with the county auditor, otherwise there could be a fine if no license is obtained within 30 days of acquiring a dog.
