VIDEO: INDOT Opens Quadrant Roadway in New Haven; Navigation Maps Not Yet Updated07/10/2026The new quadrant roadway intersection at State Road 930 and Maplecrest Road in New Haven is now open. A quadrant roadway uses a connector road to reroute left turns away from the main intersection to improve safety and traffic flow. INDOT says when it opens, use caution in the area as traffic adjusts to the new pattern. As New Haven adjusts to the new quadrant roadway, New Haven police have been patrolling the area to help drivers navigate the pattern. Police say drivers have continued to make left turns despite the changes, which results in a warning from officers. Police ask that you follow the posted signs. INDOT says construction at the intersection has yet to be finished.Be aware that navigation maps do not show New Haven’s quadrant roadway intersection yet, and your GPS could still show a left turn at State Road 930 and Maplecrest Road. INDOT says it has submitted requests to Google and Apple to update their maps, adding that previous map update requests have taken 1 to 2 weeks for companies to process.
