Union Pacific Big Boy Back in New Haven07/16/2026Union Pacific’s Big Boy 4014 is headed out of New Haven today. The historic locomotive is on its way west after an eastbound cross-country trip to Philadelphia as a part of the America 250 celebration. It stopped in New Haven for a public viewing and stayed overnight…today the train will head out at 9 am and travel through downtown on its way to Know, Indiana.
