Tree Canopy Trail Addition, Public Docks Removed from Fort Wayne Riverfront Phase 2B

There will be a couple of features removed from Fort Wayne’s Riverfront Phase 2B, which is under construction along the north bank of the St. Marys River. Phase 2B will no longer include a tree canopy trail addition and public docks. Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation said the changes are due to “recently redefined permit conditions set forth by various state and federal agencies” as it relates to river floodways. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
