Toledo Residents Flock to Meeting on Flock Cameras

Toledo residents packed a public hearing Monday night to voice concerns and ask questions about the city's use of Flock Safety license plate reader cameras ahead of a City Council vote on whether to continue the program. The hearing brought together members of the public, Toledo Police Department, council members and representatives from Flock for a discussion focused largely on privacy, data collection and public safety. Earlier this month, council failed to approve a proposed two-year extension of the city's contract with Flock Safety. Another vote is expected on a one-year continuation of the program today.
