Toledo Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz Unveils 2026 Proposed City Budget

The proposed 2026 budget for the City of Toledo was unveiled by Mayor Wade Kapszukiewicz yesterday, which reflects revenue issues the city is facing. The budget proposal includes a general fund of $392.5 million as well as tens of millions of dollars for other city funds. The budget proposal has funding to fix 134 of Toledo’s roads, public safety with police and fire classes for more officers and firefighters, and youth programming. Mayor Kapszukiewic suggested entertainment fees as a way to bring in more revenue, but it’s not in the budget. Toledo City Council will hold a meeting on December 2nd to review the budget.
