Toledo City Council Approves New Republic Service Contract with New Residential Fees

Republic Services will continue collecting your trash and recycling in Toledo, but it’ll cost you more money soon. City Council approved a new five-year collection contract with Republic. For homestead owners, rates go up to $10.50 on June 1st. That would increase to $11.25 in 2027 and to $12 in 2028. For non-homestead owners, the rate would increase to $18.50 on June 1st, then to $20 in 2027, and $21.50 in 2028. The new fees will cover the cost of operating the Hoffman Road landfill.
